What's New Auto-Translate is a browser extension that translates app release notes and writes them into the “What's New” field of an App Store Connect app version. This policy explains exactly what the extension does with data.

Summary. The extension has no servers and no accounts. It collects nothing, stores nothing remotely, and sends nothing anywhere except the two destinations named below: Google Translate (to translate the text you type) and App Store Connect (to save that text to your own app).

What the extension does not do

Third-party services

Translation is performed by Google Translate. The text you enter is sent to Google's translation endpoint in order to be translated, and Google's handling of that request is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. If you would rather not send text to Google, do not use the extension — no text is transmitted unless you click “Translate & fill”.

Saving is performed against App Store Connect, using your own authenticated browser session. Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's own privacy terms.

Data retention

The only data retained anywhere is the last text and source language you used, held locally in your browser profile. Uninstalling the extension deletes it. You can also clear it at any time from Chrome's extension settings.
